FC Barcelona have a very talented young squad with each position looking sorted with proper starting and backup options. La Masia has helped the club massively in this regard.

The academy has given the first team so many world-class talents, including the likes of Lamine Yamal, Fermin Lopez, Gavi, Marc Bernal, Marc Casado, Pau Cubarsi, and Alejandro Balde, amongst others.

However, Barcelona’s financial situation is far from ideal, and this could prompt a big sale this summer. Now, as per Fichajes, Fermin Lopez has emerged as the Red Devils’ main transfer target to reinforce their midfield.

The Red Devils are reportedly preparing a financial proposal of around €70 million to present to the Catalan club in an attempt to sign Fermin this summer.

Manchester United believe that their sporting project, combined with the opportunity to offer Fermin a key role, could persuade the player to make the move.

However, Barcelona are not a club that typically parts ways with their most talented players, and Fermin is certainly one of them.

The 22-year-old brings something truly unique to the squad. He is a different kind of midfielder compared to the others, and his goal-scoring ability is invaluable.

Fermin almost always plays as a number 10 under Hansi Flick and differs significantly from Dani Olmo. While Olmo excels at operating between the lines, Fermin is more of a box-crashing, high-intensity attacking midfielder.

No matter how much Manchester United offer, Barcelona should not even consider selling Fermin this summer. Let’s wait and see how this situation develops.
