Manchester United are eager to sign Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo this summer.

After their opening bid was rejected, the Red Devils submitted a second offer worth around £62.5 million for the 25-year-old.

However, that was also knocked back, and the Mirror claims the Bees are holding out for a fee of around £65m.

United have the funds available for signing the winger without requiring sales in advance.

But they plan to remain disciplined and avoid overpaying for players in the market.

Mbeumo has been a consistent performer for Brentford since joining the club in 2019.

The right winger has bagged 70 goals and 51 assists in 242 appearances across all competitions.

The 2024-25 campaign proved to be his most productive, as he tallied 20 goals and nine assists in 42 appearances across all competitions.

His excellent displays sparked transfer interest from several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.

It is unclear whether they will make a third bid for a player who has only one year left on his contract at the Gtech Community Stadium.

United are prioritising reinforcements in attack following their goalscoring struggles last season.

They have already wrapped up a £62.5m move for Matheus Cunha, and are keen to add Mbeumo to their squad.
