In a recent report, former scout Mick Brown revealed that Manchester United have set their sights on Al-Ahli forward Ivan Toney this summer. It has been mentioned that the Red Devils are eyeing a move to bring the English striker to Old Trafford in this summer transfer window.
Toney enjoyed a rich vein of form at the Saudi club after he put in a lot of productive displays as the spearhead of their attack. The 29-year-old found the back of the net 30 times and earned six assists in 44 matches for Al-Ahli last season across multiple competitions.
The English talent has proved himself to be a lethal finisher in the Saudi Pro League. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take any time to adjust to life at Man United.
Toney’s current deal at Al-Ahli will run out in the summer of 2028. Thus, the Red Devils would have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about recruiting him this off-season.

Toney is proficient at creating some space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the eye to unlock the opponent’s defence with a good pass in the final third and is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet.
The English talent is a good finisher in front of the opposition goal. However, he has to find a way to improve his link-up play on the offensive end of the field.
We can expect Toney to bring more firepower to Man United boss Ruben Amorim’s attacking department. At 29, he is still playing in his prime which makes him a decent choice for the Red Devils to consider in this summer transfer window. The English forward will serve as an upgrade over Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee at the Mancunian club.
Toney might even help the Red Devils challenge for a European spot in the Premier League over the next few years. Therefore, it makes sense for Man United to launch a move to bring him to the Theatre of Dreams before the end of this transfer period.
