Manchester United exploring summer move for Atalanta loanee El Bilal Touré | OneFootball

Manchester United are exploring a move to sign El Bilal Touré (23), according to Foot Mercato. The Mali international striker currently spends the 2024-2025 season on loan at Bundesliga side Stuttgart. Touré is reportedly of serious interest for the Red Devils, who have been looking to bolster Ruben Amorim’s attacking options as Rasmus Højlund and Joshua Zirkzee struggle to meet expectations at Old Trafford. Manchester United are also open to let Marcus Rashhford and Alejandro Garnacho leave.

The outlet understands that Manchester United are currently failing to tie up moves for Viktor Gyokeres, Victor Osimhen and Mathys Tel, which prompts them to explore alternative transfer targets. After a breakout season at Almeria, Touré joined Atalanta BC as La Dea were in the market for a centre-forward given they had parted ways with Højlund in a €74m move to Manchester United. Touré went on to play a minor part in Atalanta’s season which culminated with the Europa League trophy, logging only three goals and one assist in 17 games.

Touré was allowed to move on loan at Stuttgart, where he has already reached last season’s tally. The Bundesliga side are reportedly tempted to trigger Touré’s €18m purchase option before allowing him to leave next summer to Old Trafford for a higher transfer fee, near the €25m mark. Foot Mercato understands that Touré could be then allowed to spend the remainder of the campaign at Stuttgart because he is currently injured.
