Serie A giants Napoli were keen on signing Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho in the summer. While a move didn’t go through, things can change this summer.
Even though the Argentine scored for Ruben Amorim’s side against Newcastle United yesterday, his future is still uncertain.
TMW’s Niccolo Ceccarini has reported about how Napoli’s summer transfer window can look like and he mentions that Antonio Conte is still quite keen on signing Garnacho.
It is stated that Manchester United’s asking price in January was around €60 million, but it can now drop to €45 million in the summer and this will make it easier for Napoli to land the Argentina international.
Even though Ceccarini indicates that the move could require the permission of Aurelio de Laurentiis as well, Conte is keen and he would want Garnacho at the Maradona and this can make the transfer possible.
Previously, reports have suggested that a move didn’t go through in January due the player’s wage demands.
