Big moves incoming? Manchester United’s CEO, Omar Berrada, has assured fans that the club will invest in new signings this summer to support manager Ruben Amorim.
United’s finances have been a hot topic ever since co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe dropped a bombshell, saying the club would’ve been “bust by Christmas” without major cost-cutting. This came right before plans for a new stadium were announced—putting even more pressure on the budget.
With an underwhelming league season and the risk of missing out on European football (aka less cash flow), the club needs to refresh the squad to fit Amorim’s playing style. But despite all the financial drama, Berrada insists that transfers are still happening.
Speaking to TNT Sports before United’s Europa League match against Real Sociedad, Berrada made it clear:
📢 "We talk to Ruben [Amorim] all the time. He and [technical director] Jason Wilcox have a shared vision for the team. It’s all about planning for the summer and knowing exactly who we want to sign. We’re working hard to get in the best financial shape possible. Even if we don’t make Europe, we’ll still invest in the squad."
He finished with a confident message:
🔥 “Our goal is to win tonight, win the Europa League, and be back in the Champions League—where we belong.”
United fans, are you buying this? Or is it just more talk? 👀⬇️
