In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Manchester United are keeping a keen eye on Como playmaker Nico Paz this summer. It has been revealed that the Red Devils are eyeing a move to bring the Argentine attacker to Old Trafford in this transfer window.

Paz’s Impressive Rise In Italian Football

Paz enjoyed a decent run of form at the Italian club in the previous campaign as he was responsible for putting in a series of productive displays for them in the final third. The Argentine talent was involved in 35 matches for Como last season, netting six goals and earning nine assists across multiple competitions.

The 20-year-old deserves some credit for averaging 3.65 shots per 90 minutes in Serie A football. He kept 33.9% of his attempts on target. Paz was even tidy when distributing possession in the final third after making 80.6% of his attempted passes in the Italian first division (stats via fbref.com).

His current contract at the Italian club will expire in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for the Red Devils to sign him on a cut-price deal this off-season.

The Spain-born sensation mainly plays in the number ten position but can also operate as a centre-forward or as a box-to-box midfielder if needed. However, there are some question marks over whether he can maintain his good form in the Premier League if the Red Devils manage to snap him up in this transfer window.

Paz would bring more firepower to Man United head coach Ruben Amorim’s frontline. He has what it takes to fight for a regular starting place at the Mancunian club over the next few years.
