In a recent print edition, Corriere Fiorentino (9 July, Page 1) claimed that Manchester United are in the running to land Fiorentina forward Moise Kean. It has been stated that the Red Devils are hoping to get a deal done for the Italian attacker but would face competition from Galatasaray and Napoli in pursuit of him this off-season.
Kean had a productive campaign at the Italian club as he put in a lot of impressive displays for them in front of the opposition goal. The Italian talent participated in 44 matches for Fiorentina last season, scoring 25 times and earning three assists in the process across all competitions.
The 25-year-old deserves a ton of credit for averaging 3.37 shots per 90 minutes in Serie A. He kept 45.9% of his attempts on target. Kean has to be more accurate when distributing possession in the final third, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 69.9% in the Italian top tier (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the Italian club will run out in the summer of 2029 which could make it difficult for the Red Devils to snap him up on the cheap in this transfer window.

Kean excels at finding some space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.
The Italian talent has proven himself to be a consistent goal-getter in Italian football. However, the jury is still out on whether he can maintain his good form in the Premier League if Man United manage to bring him back to England this summer.
We can expect Kean to add more bite and steel to Ruben Amorim’s attack. He has what it takes to compete for a regular first-team spot at the Mancunian club in the coming seasons.
At 25, Kean has his peak years ahead of him which makes him a good choice for the Red Devils to pursue in this summer transfer period. Therefore, Amorim would be wise to go all out to bring him on board ahead of the new campaign.
