In a recent print edition, Gazzetta dello Sport (Page 12) revealed that Manchester United are in pole position to recruit Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani. It is believed that the Red Devils have a genuine interest in the France international but could face competition from Juventus in pursuit of him.
Kolo Muani had a good loan spell at Juventus recently as he was responsible for putting in a string of fruitful displays for them in front of the opponent’s goal. The French talent banged in ten goals and grabbed three assists in 22 matches for the Turin club last season across multiple competitions.
The 26-year-old was a decent contributor for Juve up top as he averaged 1.94 shots per 90 minutes in Serie A football. He did well to keep 52% of his shots on target. However, Kolo Muani needs to be more accurate when distributing possession in the opposition half after completing 69.9% of his attempted passes in the Italian first division (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at Paris Saint-Germain will run out in the summer of 2028. Thus, it won’t be easy for Man United to get a deal done for Kolo Muani on the cheap this off-season.

Kolo Muani excels at finding some space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third and is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet.
The French talent can be a streaky goal-scorer up top but needs to work on improving his link-up play in the opponent’s half. Furthermore, it remains to be seen whether he can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League if the Red Devils manage to sign him this off-season.
We can expect Kolo Muani to add more firepower to Man United boss Ruben Amorim’s frontline. He has what it takes to compete for regular first-team football at the Mancunian club next season.
At 26, Kolo Muani is about to enter his prime which makes him a good fit for Man United’s needs this summer.
