Premier League side Manchester City are a few steps away from signing Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders.
According to a report by Alfredo Pedulla, negotiations between Manchester City and Milan for Reijnders have entered the final phase after Pep Guardiola demanded to speed up proceedings as he wants the Dutchman for the Club World Cup.
Reijnders have been pushing to exit the Rossoneri and the club will not stand in his way since they are set to receive a huge transfer package from his sale.
Man City had primarily offered a deal worth €60 million plus bonuses but Milan stayed firm on their €80 million asking price. Guardiola’s request to the City scouting department has now led to the Premier League side raising their offer value to €75 million plus bonuses to bridge the gap.
Reijnders’ Milan farewell is just around the corner as the Rossoneri will hope to use the funds to bring suitable reinforcements without cash constraint ahead of the new season.
