Real Madrid could be facing a huge transfer decision this summer, with Manchester City reportedly ready to launch a €100 million bid for Rodrygo.
According to Fichajes, Pep Guardiola’s side are prepared to offer €80 million up front, with an additional €20 million in variables, to secure the Brazilian’s signature.
Rodrygo, 243, has been a key figure in Real Madrid’s recent success, delivering vital goals in big moments, including strikes in three consecutive Champions League semi-finals.
However, competition in attack has intensified heading into the 2025/26 season, and with new arrivals on the roster, his long-term role at the club is less certain.
A member of City’s coaching staff is quoted as saying, “Rodrygo is a player with speed, goalscoring ability, and balance, exactly what we need.”
Last season, the forward registered 14 goals and 11 assists across all competitions, underlining his value to any top side.

City’s push for him is linked to their plan to sell Savinho, with the Premier League champions rejecting a €70 million offer from Tottenham for the winger as they hold out for more.
If Manchester City’s offer lands on Florentino Perez’s desk, Real Madrid will have to weigh the financial benefits against the sporting loss.
Xabi Alonso would be tasked with reshaping the forward line, ensuring the team remains competitive both in La Liga and in Europe.
Losing Rodrygo would not only mean parting with one of the squad’s most consistent performers in crucial games but also require finding a replacement capable of matching his impact.
With his pace, technical skill, and knack for big-game moments, replacing the Brazilian would be no easy task.
