Sacha Tavolieri has revealed that Manchester City have joined the race to sign Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens. The young Belgian shot stopper has been linked with a move away all summer and the Belgian side are expecting him to leave the club this summer. Manchester was the likely destination for the Antwerp man, but Manchester United were the side that looked prime to bring him in.
However, with City struggling in their negations with PSG for Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, the side are looking at a cheaper option in Lammens. This may just be a ploy to force the Parisians into bringing the price down, or a genuine change of tact for a different option.
Antwerp already have a replacement signed in Japanese goalkeeper Taishi Brandon Nozawa having joined from J League side FC Tokyo. So far, Antwerp have kept playing Lammens to start the season and he has already put in some strong performances.
