Manchester City have confirmed that four first team players will be leaving the club this summer.

The Cityzens announced the news via a post on their official club X account this afternoon.

Filippa Angeldahl, Ruby Mace, Ellie Roebuck and Demi Stokes are all moving on. They join captain Steph Houghton in leaving The Joie Stadium this summer.

Swedish midfielder Angeldahl joined Manchester City in summer 2021. She has made 26 appearances for the club in the Barclays Women’s Super League in which she has scored two goals.

Defender Mace also signed for Manchester City in summer 2021 after leaving their Barclays Women’s Super League rivals Arsenal. She has made 13 league appearances, most of which have come from the bench.

Goalkeeper Roebuck has been on Manchester City’s books since she was 15 years of age. She made her senior debut for the club in early 2018 and has featured in all of The Cityzens’ trophy successes since making the breakthrough at senior level.

Full-back Stokes signed for Manchester City in 2015 and she has gone on to represent the club on more than 150 occasions. Like Roebuck, the defender has starred in all of The Cityzens’ trophy wins in recent times.

Given the outgoings at Manchester City this summer, the club are expected to be very active in the transfer window in the coming months.
