According to a report from Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City and OGC Nice have reached a verbal agreement for defender Juma Bah (19) to join the Riviera club on loan. Les Aiglons overtook Olympique Lyonnais for the 19-year-old with the possibility of playing in the UEFA Champions League an enticing factor (if the club can find a way past the qualifying rounds). OL had looked to be the favourites to secure a loan move for Bah, who had spent a successful six months on loan with Racing Club de Lens last season. It was reported that the Gones were hoping to take the player on loan for free from Manchester City as part of Rayan Cherki’s €42m move to the Citizens. However, OL were focussed on extending the contract of defender Clinton Mata, which paved the way for Nice to take pole position to sign the Sierra Leonean centre-back. GFFN | George Boxall
