Erik ten Hag claimed Manchester United are one of the most exciting teams in the Premier League following his side’s 1-1 draw with struggling Burnley.
Antony’s 79th minute goal was cancelled out by a late Zeki Amdouni penalty, meaning United have won just two of their last nine Premier League games.
But ten Hag defended his side after the game and insists there have been plenty of positives despite the poor run of form.
“We are one of the most dynamic and entertaining teams in the league at this moment,” Ten Hag told BBC Match of the Day.
“We are creating loads of chances by playing good football. Every team gives up opportunities. But when it is up to us, it is weird.”
The Dutchman also drew comparisons to the Manchester United team of 2004/05, who finished third in the Premier League that season, as an example of the importance of patience, with United then going on to win plenty of silverware in the following years.
“They forget, 2004-05, they also didn’t play that great football,” he said.
“They are building and it takes time but everyone forgets, even the players who were in the team, they forget they were struggling. You need time to progress.”
