Man Utd linked with surprise move for Jess Park

Manchester United have been linked with a surprise move to sign Jess Park from local rivals Manchester City.

The Citizens identified the attacker during her time at the youth ranks of York City and has since been at the club for eight years, spending the 2022/23 season on loan at Everton.

Last year, Park was an important player for the Manchester side, netting eight goals and assisting four in all competitions. However, according to journalist Tom Garry of The Guardian, the Red Devils are hoping to sign the England international ahead of Thursday's transfer deadline.

United are looking to reinforce in attack, having previously failed in an attempt to sign Giovanna Hoffmann from RB Leipzig this summer.

A potential move could also fuel speculation of a swap deal, with City having previously been linked to United midfielder Grace Clinton.
