Manchester United are returning to the United States for pre-season for the third successive year in 2025, taking part in the Premier League Summer Series in July and August.

The pre-season programme hopes to deliver Premier League football to a U.S. audience by pitting the division's sides against each other on American soil in an informal competition.

United, who have previously faced the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona in huge pre-season games stateside, will compete in more ordinary fixtures this time around.

West Ham United (26 July), Bournemouth (30 July) and Everton (3 August) are the opposition in huge NFL stadiums in New Jersey, Chicago and Atlanta respectively.

"The weeks leading up to a new Premier League season is always an exciting time for United players and fans alike, and we enjoy spending that period in the US, taking advantage of world-class training facilities and stadiums, and engaging with fans," technical director Jason Wilcox said.

"Playing other teams from the Premier League provides the players with an opportunity to gain valuable playing time against top opposition, and for our passionate fans to see the action live at three of the most iconic stadiums in North America."

The 2025/26 Premier League season is scheduled to begin from 16 August.

The race for major European leagues to engage with the enormous North American market continues, with Serie A recently confirming their desire to host a competitive league fixture in the United States. La Liga had hoped to play the December clash between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in Miami until plans were shelved at only a few weeks’ notice.
