Manchester United target Kieran Dewsbury-Hall has claimed that he has no desire to leave Leicester City this summer.

The Red Devils have struggled immensely in midfield this year due to poor individual play, tactical naivety and a cursed stretch of injuries.

The new owners will surely want to rectify this and for this reason, the club has been linked to numerous midfield options.

One aspect INEOS have wanted to return the club to is buying more young British talent, which has led to reports that United are interested in bringing in Kieran Dewsbury-Hall as an option next season.

It was reported that Leicester’s recent financial problems could lead to the Foxes accepting a reduce fee of around £25m for the player.

Naturally, United were not the only club linked to the midfield man with Tottenham Hotspur also said to be keen on securing the 25 year old’s services.

The Englishman has been a vital cog for Leicester this season, playing 49 games, scoring 12 goals and providing an incredible 15 assists.

However, Leicester’s hand was already massively strengthened when they were promoted back to the Premier League last month and they won the Championship title last weekend.

In addition, after picking up the Players player of the year award at Leicester’s end of season awards he claimed, “I’ve been at this club since I was 8 years old… I’ve got no intention of leaving.”

The midfielder certainly has a swagger about him as he has compared his playing style as a mix between Paul Scholes and Kevin de Bruyne; two of the best midfielders to play in the English top flight.

Were Leicester to have failed to be promoted, perhaps there may have been a real chance of INEOS bringing in the player, but it seems unlikely that he will have any interest in abandoning his side on their return to the Premier League.

Of course, it is possible that the Foxes financial issues are even worse than first thought and there may be no choice but to sell the player but once more, that seems unlikely with the massive cash windfall they are about to receive for making it back to the top tier at the first time of asking.
