Paris Saint-Germain will keep a close eye on Hugo Ekitike’s potential move to Eintracht Frankfurt, as they’re set to receive a percentage of the transfer fee.

According to a previous report from CaughtOffside, Newcastle is considering Ekitike as a possible replacement for Alexander Isak. The club had been interested in him during his time at PSG.

PSG has a 20 percent sell-on clause for any future transfer, meaning they could benefit from Ekitike’s next move. Along with Newcastle, another Premier League club is also showing interest in the talented striker.

Football Insider reported Thursday that Manchester United are in a race with Newcastle and several top European clubs to sign Hugo Ekitike.

United have been closely monitoring the 22-year-old’s performances for Eintracht Frankfurt this season as they look to bring in a new No. 9 this summer.

However, the report states that Frankfurt will demand a “huge” fee for Ekitike, especially after losing Omar Marmoush to Manchester City in the January transfer window.

Liverpool reportedly remain keen on Ekitike, and that interest isn’t expected to fade even if they miss out on Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak.

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool’s scouts have been monitoring Ekitike for a while. The report highlights the 6-foot-3 French forward’s strength in aerial duels and suggests he could be a tough matchup for defenders.

It also points out that his lean frame shouldn’t be a concern, noting that Isak has a similar build but has thrived at Newcastle.

The France Under-21 international is reportedly valued at €80 million (£67 million) by his Bundesliga club, making him a costly option, though he would likely be cheaper than Isak.
