An update on the future of Real Madrid star Rodrygo has on Tuesday come to the fore online.
This comes amid confirmation that, as things stand, the Brazilian looks increasingly likely to stay put in Spain’s capital through the close of the transfer window.
Frontman Rodrygo has of course seen his name dominate the headlines at Real Madrid throughout the summer to date.
As much comes after it was widely reported that the 24-year-old – fresh off a disappointing campaign in 2024/25 – may be available for the right price.
Rodrygo’s struggles for game time at the Club World Cup only culminated in the rumours surrounding his name ramping up further, amid links with a number of Premier League clubs.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from Spain this week is anything to go by, then any such move for the attacker over the next couple of weeks is now considered highly unlikely.
As per a report from La Liga insider Guillem Balague, ‘as it stands, nobody expects him to leave’.
As much comes with Manchester City no longer on Rodrygo’s trail, Arsenal having not made an approach, and the player himself not interested in a Newcastle United switch.
