Paris Saint-Germain are closely monitoring River Plate’s Franco Mastantuono ahead of the summer window—but they’re not the only ones. The highly rated teenager has attracted interest from several top European clubs.

According to TyC Sports journalist Germán García Grova, PSG have already started talks and made Mastantuono one of their top targets. The French side now joins a growing list of clubs chasing the young Argentine.

Transfer expert César Luis Merlo previously reported that Manchester United have shown the strongest interest so far, having scouted Mastantuono in person. The Premier League side is well aware of his €45 million release clause, which could play a major role in any deal.

Manchester City are reportedly leading the chase for Mastantuono, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t The Mirror), but they face strong competition from PSG.

Other Premier League clubs are also keeping tabs on the River Plate teenager, while Inter and Milan are interested in bringing him to Italy. Mastantuono is a former teammate of City’s recent signing Claudio Echeverri.

Recently, PSG joined Real Madrid, Manchester United, and several other European giants in expressing interest in River Plate’s Franco Mastantuono, according to Diario Olé.

The report mentions that six Premier League clubs—including newly crowned champions Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea—are also in the mix. Mastantuono’s contract with River runs until December 2027 and includes a €45 million release clause. He reportedly has no clear preference for his next move.

Chelsea are said to be making a strong push to land the 16-year-old as part of their ongoing focus on recruiting top young talent worldwide, as previously reported by CaughtOffside.

River Plate, however, are standing firm. They’ve made it clear that Mastantuono will only leave if a club meets the full value of his release clause, leaving Europe’s elite with a significant decision to make heading into the summer.
