Celtic defeated Dundee United last weekend en route to labelling with Rangers‘ 55 league crowns. They have conquered the silverware with four Premiership games remaining, but yesterday’s trip to Ibrox was a matter of prestige for Brendan Rodgers’ Bhoys after two successive Old Firm defeats. While they were again outplayed by their bitter rivals, Adam Idah’s second-half equaliser was the saving grace after a sharp opener from Cyriel Dessers at the backend of the first half.
Below are the Celtic players rated in their draw against Rangers.
Viljami Sinisalo: 7.5
Made a big save late in the match to deny Nicolas Raskin from finding a winner. Could have done little to stop Dessers’ goal.
Anthony Ralston: 6.5
Was handed a rare start in place of injured Alistair Johnston. Made marauding runs and crosses from the right, but he also got dispossessed a few times and lacked enough accuracy with his deliveries.
Cameron Carter-Vickers: 7.5
Forced Liam Kelly to make a save around the half-hour mark. Performed his defensive duties with composure and calmness. Was mostly accurate with his passing game out from the back.
Liam Scales: 7
Was outmuscled by Dessers while conceding. Looked solid otherwise with timely tackles, several clearances, duels and blocks. Impressed with his ball-playing attribute.
Greg Taylor: 7
Linked up well with Daizen Maeda down the left. Played many passes into the final third, but his crosses and long balls were not accurate enough. Was replaced by Jeffrey Schlupp late in the match.

Callum McGregor: 6.5
Struggled in midfield as the work ethic of Connor Barron and the technical traits of Nicolas Raskin never let him drive the show from the centre of the pitch. Lost the majority of duels in the centre of the pitch.
Arne Engels: 6.5
Tried to mix his game by making down-the-middle runs and spreading it wide. However, he lacked the creative spark and was eventually taken off for Paulo Bernardo just over the hour mark.
Reo Hatate: 7
Hatate, too, was far from his best with rare box-to-box movements. Could not dominate the half spaces due to the supremacy of Rangers’ midfielders. Yet he created a few chances in and around the attacking third.
James Forrest: 6
Was handed a start in place of injured Nicolas Kuhn. But the veteran Scotsman failed to make any noteworthy contribution before making way for Hyun-Jun Yang around the hour mark.
Daizen Maeda: 8
His flair and finesse from the left-hand flank forced James Tavernier to make a mistake in the build-up of Idah’s goal. Registered another assist by setting it up for the Irishman. Wasted a massive chance in the closing seconds.
Adam Idah: 7.5
Missed a great scoring opportunity moments before Dessers’ goal. But his deflected strike in the second half salvaged a point for the champions of Scotland. Was replaced by Johnny Kenny late in the contest.
Paulo Bernardo: 6.5
Looked lively since replacing Engels with his all-round ability in the middle of the park.
Yang: 6
Could not make a difference since replacing Forrest down the right.
Jeffrey Schlupp: 6
Hardly had any involvement in the final minutes of the match.
