Lyon submit proposal to Leeds’ Junior Firpo | OneFootball

Lyon have submitted a contractual offer to Leeds left-back Junior Firpo (28), according to Fabrizio Romano. The Dominican Republic international is out of contract with the Peacocks next June. The Italian reporter adds that negotiations are underway between the Ligue 1 side and the player. Lyon are in the market for a left-back as 2022 World Cup winner Nicolas Tagliafico will be out of contract next month.

Romano adds that Junior Firpo’s contractual situation has not gone unnoticed. AC Milan reportedly have the former Barcelona defender in their crosshairs if France international left-back Théo Hernandez were to leave the Rossoneri. AC Milan have announced on Friday the return of Massimiliano Allegri as head coach. Unlike AC Milan, Lyon will feature in Europe next season. Les Gones have qualified for the Europa League.
