PSG secured a dominant 4-0 win over Real Madrid on Wednesday afternoon at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Three goals in the first 30 minutes put the French side in control, and Real Madrid never recovered. PSG now gears up to face Chelsea on Sunday in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final.
Raúl Asencio’s mistake led to the opener. Ousmane Dembélé won the ball inside the box but was stopped by Thibaut Courtois. Fabián Ruiz reacted quickly and calmly finished with his left foot.
The second goal came after Antonio Rüdiger, pressured by Dembélé, gave away a risky pass. Dembélé seized the opportunity, closing in on Courtois and firing a left-footed shot that beat the Belgian keeper.
A brilliant team move set up the third goal before halftime. Achraf Hakimi broke free down the right and found Ruiz in the center. Ruiz shrugged off Federico Valverde and finished calmly with his left foot.
In the final minutes, Hakimi made another strong run down the right and delivered a pass to Bradley Barcola inside the box. Barcola kept his composure and quickly set up Gonçalo Ramos, who turned and fired in the finish.

After the match, PSG manager Luis Enrique spoke to DAZN and shared his thoughts on facing Chelsea in the final.
“We are going to try [and win],” Enrique said (h/t BBC). “We just have to take one more step against a good team like Chelsea but we are almost there and we want to make history for our club.”
