PSG punched their ticket to the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup semifinals with a thrilling win over Bayern Munich on Saturday in Atlanta, setting up a blockbuster showdown with Real Madrid.
Désiré Doué opened the scoring in the 78th minute, but the match quickly descended into chaos. PSG were reduced to nine men after two red cards, making for a tense finish. Despite the disadvantage, they stayed composed and even managed to extend their lead.
Ousmane Dembélé put the result beyond doubt with his first touch, finishing off a brilliant solo run from Achraf Hakimi, who danced through the Bayern defense before setting him up perfectly.
Real Madrid survived a wild 3-2 battle with Borussia Dortmund. The Spanish giants advanced, but not without a serious challenge.

On Tuesday, PSG manager Luis Enrique spoke to the media, and he was asked about facing Kylian Mbappé, whom he managed for one season before the Frenchman left to join Real Madrid as a free agent.
“There are a lot of factors that make this a special match,” Enrique said (h/t Paris Fans). “Around the game, there are many different situations. But the most important thing is that we’re playing a World Cup semifinal. It’s a very exciting opportunity, and we need to be ready to stay focused on the match and the semifinal.”
