Brought to City in 2007 ahead of Sven Goran Eriksson’s solitary campaign in the dugout, Petrov was a central figure in a revitalised City side who just missed out on European football.
Across his three years at the Etihad Stadium, he would make 72 appearances, finding the net on 12 occasions.
Demichelis reunited with his former Malaga boss Manuel Pellegrini in September 2013 to play an important role in a league and cup double in his debut season.
He would also help Argentina reach the World Cup final at the end of that campaign, before enjoying another two successful years at the Etihad Stadium.
A popular figure during his time at the Club, the Argentine would go on to make 106 appearances in sky blue, winning three major honours in the process before joining Espanyol in 2016.
He had joined City from Atletico, who he’d signed for just two months prior without having made an appearance.
Another player to join City directly from Atletico, Musampa arrived in Manchester in January 2005 on loan until the end of the season after a two-and-a-half year spell in the Spanish capital.
That deal was extended across the following season after the winger had impressed during the Premier League run-in, grabbing a late winner against Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium en route to City finishing just outside the UEFA Cup qualification spots.
The Dutchman featured 45 times for the Club across his 18 months in Manchester, moving to Trabzonspor in August 2006.
