Premier League Wolves have confirmed the arrival of highly-rated young forward Fer Lopez from Celta Vigo to mark their first acquisition of the summer window.
The 21-year-old attacker joins from the La Liga outfit on a permanent transfer, having broken into the Spanish club’s senior side last term.
Lopez, a left-footed forward capable of playing off the right flank or through the middle, has signed a five-year deal at Molineux and becomes the second player to swap Vigo for Wolves in recent times following last summer's signing of Jorgen Strand Larsen.
A graduate of the Celta Vigo academy, Lopez impressed at youth level for both Gran Peña and Celta B before earning a first-team call-up last season after penning a new contract.
He made his professional debut last October in a commanding 5-1 Copa del Rey win over UD San Pedro, and became a regular feature in Celta's squad: appearing in all but two league matches from February onward.
The young Spaniard also opened his league account with two goals - a decisive winner away at Mallorca and a close-range finish against Villarreal.
Lopez arrives in England with 20 senior appearances under his belt, although he is already familiar with the Uk having spent part of his education in Suffolk before returning to Spain.
