Chelsea fans will be excited to finally see pictures of one of their long term injured stars being back in training yesterday!
It comes at a good time as Chelsea get ready to face Brighton in the Premier League this evening, although the player will not be available to play again yet.
Enzo Maresca will be pleased to have him back in training though as he face the media yesterday ahead of the game tonight.
Chelsea lost 2-1 to Brighton on Saturday night in the fourth round of the FA Cup after being a goal ahead early doors. They will be hoping for a better outcome in the league as they battle for Champions League qualification this season.
Maresca has already been explaining that he could setup differently on Friday due to injuries to his only two strikers, Marc Guiu and Nicolas Jackson.
The Blues boss has also explained why he said he thought Jackson was initially ‘OK’ after his injury but he is not out for 6-8 weeks.
Welsey Fofana back in Chelsea training
As you can see above, big Wesley Fofana is finally pictured back in Chelsea training after his latest long term injury, and he is sporting a pretty wild new hair style!
This will come as a big boost ahead of the game tonight even though he is not expected to back back in a Chelsea squad for another few weeks yet. Just the fact that he is nearing a return to the squad will be a big boost for Maresca and the players.
Fofana is a solid and physical defender, and his presence is certainly noticed when he is on the pitch, and missed when he is off it.
