Two days ahead of the Bianconeri's match against Bologna, captain Manuel Locatelli gave his thoughts ahead of Sunday’s encounter against the Rossoblu.
“Sunday's match will be key, we know the importance of it and we are preparing for it as best we can. Matches like this are approached with energy and determination, but also with calmness, because we need mental balance. We know that we will need to put out a solid performance. Our goal is always to bring home the win, and at the Dall'Ara we also want to make our mark. They will come with enthusiasm and intensity, but we have quality and we don't have to prove anything to anyone. We are a solid group and we want to get a positive result.
“This is not the time to take stock, but I can say that I am satisfied with my path so far. I feel I have grown off the field as well. Wearing the armband carries a daily responsibility: I try to always be an example for my teammates. This responsibility is helping me have a meaningful season, but everything is always measured by collective results.
“When I arrived I was more emotionally involved, today I think I have reached a certain maturity that allows me to face every situation with more balance, on and off the field. I can handle pressure well, although for my family - who have always been Juventus fans - everything is more complicated. But by now I can maintain serenity, even on that front.”
