A Liverpool youngster is about to make a name for himself at international level.
It is no surprise that the Reds academy has produced numerous talent over the years, but now it seems that more youth players than ever are getting called up to represent their country.
In recent weeks, academy player and dual-national Karim Ahmed has been called-up to Egypt’s U20 squad for their upcoming AFCON qualifiers, which take place in November. This was surprising as Ahmed is still only 17 years old and has been playing only at U18 level for Liverpool.
Rio Ngumoha, who has had an impressive start on Merseyside has been called up to the England U17 squad for their European Championships qualifiers later this month, meaning the 16-year-old will miss some key Liverpool fixtures.
Now another youngster is set to join that list.
