Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez is reportedly among the players being considered by Napoli in preparation for what is expected to be a busy summer transfer window for the Partenopei ahead of their return to the Champions League in 2025-26.

Reports in Italy claim that Napoli are preparing for a mass recruitment drive in the summer transfer window after going through a season without being involved in any UEFA competition, nor any domestic cup from December onwards.

Currently sitting at the top of the Serie A table with a three-point lead over Inter with three games left to go, Napoli have already confirmed their spot in next season’s Champions League and have already begun to look at potential transfer targets for the upcoming window.

Among those players is Manchester City captain and six-time Premier League winner Kevin De Bruyne, for whom Napoli are prepared to offer a lucrative two-year contract.

However, according to reports from Corriere dello Sport, De Bruyne is not the only Premier League player under consideration by the Partenopei recruitment team.

Friday’s report suggests that Darwin Nunez of Liverpool is also a potential option for Napoli ahead of the summer transfer window. The Uruguayan has not been a regular starter under Arne Slot, and like Italy international Federico Chiesa, could be allowed to move on if an appropriate offer comes in.

Corriere dello Sport claims that Napoli are studying various different profiles to improve their attacking department, including Porto’s Samu Omorodion, Lee Kang-in from Paris Saint-Germain and free agent Jonathan David, who is into the final months of his contract with Lille.
