Liverpool, Spurs, and Newcastle United are ready to rival Inter Milan, AC Milan, and Juventus to sign Giovanni Leoni.

Today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, report that Premier League interest is mounting in the Parma defender.

Giovanni Leoni has established himself as one of the most in-demand defenders in Serie A this summer.

It is not overly difficult to see why. The 19-year-old has had an outstanding season at the back for Parma, regularly nullifying some of the division’s top centre-forwards.

And Leoni still has room to grow. The teenage defender could be a solution in defense for over a decade.

Parma paid €7 million to sign Leoni from Sampdoria last summer. However, it will likely take at least €40 million to sign the 19-year-old this summer.

All of Serie A’s biggest teams are keen to sign Giovanni Leoni this summer.

Inter Milan have reportedly made the teenager their top target at the back. Particularly after the arrival of Cristian Chivu as coach.

However, the Nerazzurri’s city rivals AC Milan are also extremely keen. As are Juventus.

The interest does not end there, though.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, big teams in the Premier League have also sounded out a move for Leoni.

Liverpool have inquired about the 19-year-old. And Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United have also recently come forward with an interest.
