Liverpool submit €75m offer for Hugo Ekitiké | OneFootball

According to a report from Sky Sports News, Liverpool are proposing a bid worth €75m to sign Hugo Ekitiké (23) from Eintracht Frankfurt. Talks between the two clubs are progressing towards the French international making a move to Anfield.

The Premier League champions were not the only club interested in signing the 23-year-old. Newcastle United were the first club to submit an official offer for the Frenchman’s services. However, this offer was rejected as Ekitiké prioritised the interest of Liverpool. The Magpies have since withdrawn their interest in signing the striker as talks remain ongoing with the Merseyside outfit.

Isak alternative

Liverpool initially approached Newcastle with a willingness to pay £120m to acquire the services of Alexander Isak. Nevertheless, the North Eastern club have remained firmly on their stance that the Sweden international is not for sale, and the Premier League club are now moving ahead to sign Ekitiké.
