Liverpool open talks over deal for Real Madrid star | OneFootball

A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid is the subject of a transfer approach on the part of Premier League champions Liverpool.

That’s according to ESPN Brasil, who point towards Rodrygo as the player in question.

Frontman Rodrygo has of course long seen his future in Spain’s capital thrown up in the air.

Fresh off a difficult season in 2024/25, and with minimal game time afforded to him at the Club World Cup, the Brazilian is attracting interest from a number of leading clubs across the continent.

Recent days have seen German heavyweights Bayern Munich, for one, credited with a keen interest in Rodrygo.

And as alluded to above, over the last 24 hours, another of Europe’s most high-profile clubs have also entered the fray.

As per a report from ESPN Brasil:

‘Liverpool have opened talks with Real Madrid for Rodrygo. The information was published by the Spanish newspaper AS and confirmed by ESPN.’

Whilst talks between the parties are ongoing, it is also noted that no official bid has been placed as of yet.
