Liverpool are unlikely to pursue a deal for Paris Saint-Germain star Bradley Barcola.

Recent reports in France suggested the Reds have added Barcola to their list of attacking targets this summer, as they continue to face difficulties in their pursuit of Alexander Isak.

Newcastle United rejected their first official bid for Isak, and Liverpool were thought to have turned their attention towards signing Barcola and Real Madrid’s Rodrygo.

But The Athletic report that Arne Slot’s side are not currently considering a move for the PSG winger.

The Reds reportedly rate Barcola highly but are not expected to make a move as that would affect the progress of academy product Rio Ngumoha.

Ngumoha has had an impressive pre-season and the club’s primary focus is the growth of their teenage star.

Liverpool have been aggressive in the 2025 summer transfer window.

They have spent more than £260 million to bring in Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong.

Despite the huge outlay, the Merseyside giants are prepared to make a record bid to sign Isak from Newcastle.

To remain compliant with the financial rules, Liverpool have made some big-money sales.

Caoimhin Kelleher, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jarell Quansah, Luis Diaz and Tyler Morton have all left Anfield, with Darwin Nunez also closing in on an exit.

Harvey Elliott could depart Liverpool as the club are currently locked in transfer discussions with Leipzig.
