Paris Saint-Germain have been monitoring Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich for months, with a transfer nearly coming to fruition last summer.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are reportedly eyeing Kimmich and Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah as they aim to bolster their midfield and defense ahead of the 2025 season.

According to journalists Christian Falk and Tobi Altschäffl, Bayern Munich have given up on trying to convince Kimmich to accept a pay cut from his current €20 million annual salary.

With his contract set to expire next year and interest from top clubs growing, a reduced deal now seems increasingly unlikely.

Could Joshua Kimmich be heading to England?

CaughtOffside reported on Thursday, citing sources, that Liverpool most recently contacted the player at the start of January to discuss a possible move for next season and will be in touch again soon.

Liverpool missed out on Martin Zubimendi last summer, but now Joshua Kimmich is emerging as a serious option as he nears the end of his Bayern Munich contract.

According to the report, Manchester City are also interested in the Germany international, while clubs like Real Madrid and PSG could be potential destinations as well.

Kimmich is leaning towards a move to England, which currently gives Liverpool and City an advantage, though no final decision has been made yet, per CaughtOffside.
