With the Premier League title now secured, Liverpool turn attention towards their summer transfer business.
The Reds are expected to be busy this summer in order to make changes to their squad and add more quality.
Arne Slot has so far been successful at Anfield despite limited spending in the market but that is likely to change this summer with the Premier League champions ready to support their manager to build a dynasty.
Liverpool are reportedly preparing an initial bid to sign Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig, according to Empire of the Kop.
The 22-year-old Dutch international has attracted interest from several top European clubs due to his impressive performances in the Bundesliga.
His versatility allows him to operate effectively in various midfield and forward roles, making him an attractive option for Liverpool who would love to have a player like Simons in their squad.
The Reds have a heavy Dutch contingent at Liverpool at the moment in Virgil Van Dijk, Cody Gakpo and Ryan Gravenberch.
All of them have been instrumental in Liverpool’s title win this season and Slot is now looking to add another Dutchman to the squad.
22-year-old Simons has recorded 10 goals and 8 assists in 31 appearances this season.
He has played as an attacking midfielder as well as a left-winger this season, producing impressive numbers in both the positions.
