Under 2.5 goals (11/10 with BetMGM)

Recent meetings between Ipswich and Leicester have been low-scoring affairs, with their last three competitive showdowns ending in 1-1 draws. Both are currently among the Premier League’s poorest scorers, with Leicester boasting the second-worst attack (29 goals) and Ipswich one place below them (35 goals). This should be a game low on quality with both sides already relegated and that could lead to a lack of goals between two of the worst sides in front of goal this season.

Wilfred Ndidi to be shown a card (9/2 with Sky Bet)

So far in 2025, only Idrissa Gueye (four) has picked up more yellow cards than Wilfred Ndidi, who managed to accumulate three bookings in three fewer games. Ndidi, though, has conceded eight fouls, two fewer than Gueye. Frustrations could boil over in this one, with both teams suffering relegation and the tackles could fly in from both sides. It’ll be interesting to see how both teams attack this game but it could be a tight affair with plenty of battles in the centre of the pitch.

How both teams go into Leicester vs Ipswich

Despite both teams already being relegated, there is still a financial incentive to perform well, as a higher finish in the Premier League table leads to better rewards. With three matches remaining, Ipswich and Leicester are currently in 18th and 19th place, respectively, level on points with Ipswich having the better goal difference.

The Foxes are in better form, having earned four points from their last five matches, which include a 2-0 home victory against bottom-placed Southampton, while, in contrast, Ipswich have gained only two points during the same period. Overall, Leicester have won more matches this season, with a record of five wins to Ipswich’s four. However, Ipswich have outscored them, netting 35 goals compared to Leicester’s 29. Both teams have conceded 76 goals, meaning they have the joint second-worst defence in this Premier League campaign.

Last time out, Leicester secured a 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest, whilst Ipswich were beaten 1-0 by Brentford. With relegation assured for both sides, there’s nothing to play for except pride and both sides will be demoralised knowing they will be playing Championship football once again next season.

Leicester team news

Issahaku Fatawu, Mads Hermansen, Bobby De Cordova-Reid, and Stephy Mavididi are ruled out for this game, while Ricardo Pereira’s availability is touch and go. However, there is no return date for Harry Winks, who is sidelined following an internal disciplinary matter.

Ipswich team news

Wesley Burns and Jaden Philogene-Bidace will not feature after both were ruled out for the remainder of this season due to respective knee issues. They are joined on the shelf by Chiedozie Ogbene, while there are no return dates for Axel Tuanzebe (thigh), Arijanet Muric (shoulder), and Nathan Broadhead (thigh). Leif Davis would have returned from his suspension for this contest.

Leicester vs Ipswich head-to-head

Leicester are unbeaten in their previous five meetings with Ipswich (two wins and three draws), while the Foxes have lost just one of their past ten fixtures (four draws and five wins).
