Join us as we delve into the exciting, frustrating and occasionally rewarding and gratifying yet unpredictable world of Fantasy Premier League. That's right - we have a new weekly feature consisting of our top FPL picks for each round of the amazingly popular game for supporters of all ages. But this site won't only recommend or attempt to dissuade our readership from buying stars of the King Power club. Oh no. We'll also suggest players to sign or sell from other notable EPL sides.
Gain an advantage over your best mates for banter; potentially win or ascend your mini-league; take our (hopefully) expert analysis on board and get ahead of the curve. So, are any FPL assets from LCFC worth targeting for gameweek 16? Should you be looking to offload any Foxes prior to the deadline at 13:30 on Saturday, December 14? Plus, which three ballers from the division's other teams should you have an eye on? And which eminent athletes should now be up for sale?
It's been difficult to advocate having any Leicester players amongst your FPL squad of 15 for the majority of the season. To be honest, I have avoided Foxes footballers for the entirety of 2024/25 so far. Steve Cooper had some negative influence there.
However, LCFC won and drew their previous two matches under new manager Ruud van Nistelrooy. The Foxes also netted five goals across that pair of fixtures. Therefore Leicester are on the fantasy radar once more.
My prime selection from City at the moment is Jamie Vardy. The veteran is getting quite a few minutes and goals on average; the striker played the 90 versus Brighton & Hove Albion.
Facundo Buonanotte is my favourite LCFC star at present. I know he's an on-loan Seagull but he's a crowd pleaser and has goalscoring/facilitating capacity in abundance. I envisage further playmaking under van Nistelrooy.
Bilal El Khannouss is my third choice. The 20-year-old took some time to acclimatise to the Premier League, which is to be expected at his age. The Moroccan/Belgium is a talent and can also supply goals and assists.
Even though starting centre back pair Jannik Vestergaard and Conor Coady are very cheap, neither are worthy of investment at this stage. If the Dutchman improves the City defence, or full backs begin getting forward more dangerously, we shall revisit the area.
Buy: Alexander Isak/Anthony Gordon of Newcastle United; William Saliba, if you own one or no Arsenal defenders; Chelsea's Cole Palmer is essential similarly to Liverpool superstars Mo Salah right now.
Sell: Bryan Mbeumo's Brentford fixtures are just terrible, in spite of his prowess; Rico Lewis's red card makes his place on my roster untenable; Erling Haaland has a tough encounter, making it increasingly difficult to justify his expensive involvement.
