The Whites are happy with what they have in the final third right now, as things stand.

Leeds United are happy with their attacking options at this stage and have high hopes that some of them can get into double figures in terms of goals.

This is according to Ben Jacobs, who revealed this information to Give Me Sport.

The Whites lost a lot of attacking firepower during the summer transfer window, with Crysencio Summerville's departure perhaps the most painful one of them all.

He was a prolific figure for the club during the 2023/24 campaign and played a huge part in guiding Leeds to a third-place finish.

Georginio Rutter was also a crucial first-teamer, having enjoyed an excellent 2023/24 season despite his slow start to life at Elland Road.

Initially, it looked as though there was a good chance that he'd stay in West Yorkshire, but he moved on during the latter stages of the window to Brighton and Hove Albion.

These key men ideally needed replacing and, in fairness to the Whites' board, they moved to secure the additions of Largie Ramazani and Manor Solomon, with the former joining on a permanent deal.

Both look set to be real assets during the 2024/25 campaign if they can stay fit, so the departure of Summerville may not hurt the club too much.

And in terms of the number 10 position, they now have Brenden Aaronson available after his loan deal at Union Berlin expired.

The likes of Aaronson, Ramazani and Solomon could help to provide support for Patrick Bamford, Mateo Joseph and Joel Piroe, all of whom remain attacking options at Elland Road.

Bamford hasn't been a hugely reliable option in recent times, but even with this in mind, Leeds are seemingly happy with the options they have.

This is according to Jacobs, who told Give Me Sport: "Leeds are actually quite happy, from what sources tell me, about their attacking options, and they're hoping that multiple players get into double figures as far as goals are concerned.

"And if that's the case, then the belief is, from Leeds’ perspective, they'll have enough goals to get themselves back to the Premier League at the second time of asking."

Leeds United need to keep an eye on their progress ahead of January

Leeds do have some decent options at their disposal.

In the wing area, Willy Gnonto and Dan James are both options, along with Ramazani and Solomon.

The quartet can thrive at this level and the fact Ramazani scored against Cardiff City should help him to gain more confidence.

In terms of their striker options, Piroe is a good player to have and so is Joseph, who has made a good start to the 2024/25 season.

If Joseph can continue to shine, he could help to add more firepower to the Whites' squad, which is much needed following Rutter and Summerville's exits during the summer window.

Bamford is another excellent addition, but he needs to get fully fit and stay fit if he wants to have a big say this season. It will be interesting to see how much game time he's able to get this term.

The attacking area is one for Leeds to keep tabs on.

There's every chance they may need a striker in January, especially if Bamford doesn't stay fit.
