Leeds United are set to miss out on Nottingham Forest defender Andrew Omobamidele, as a Ligue 1 club are ‘finalising’ his arrival.
The young centre-back has struggled for game time at the City Ground this season and Forest are prepared to do business this month.
Leeds boss Daniel Farke is a firm admirer of Omobamidele and the Whites have been linked with wanting to land him.
However, the 22-year-old is not going to Elland Road and instead looks set to move to French football with Strasbourg.
According to French sports daily L’Equipe, Strasbourg are ‘finalising’ the capture of Omobamidele from Nottingham Forest.
Strasbourg have managed to reach an agreement with Nottingham Forest for the defender.
The arrival of Omobamidele would come as Strasbourg offload Abakar Sylla, who boss Liam Rosenior is no longer counting on.
It is unclear what the exact shape of the deal for Omobamidele to move to Strasbourg is and all eyes will be on the structure of the agreement.
