Serie A side Lecce are now very keen to hand Patrick Dorgu a new deal amidst interest from both Tottenham and Chelsea.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via TMW) have reported today Lecce had decided to keep Dorgu beyond last summer and there was interest was other clubs. Both Spurs and the Blues had come forward for the Denmark international but the attempts were pegged back by the Giallorossi.
The club have now communicated to Dorgu’s agents that they intend to hand him a new deal and that is why the player’s valuation could also rise to about €40 million, while it was at €30 million in the summer.
Lecce chief Pantaleo Corvino has already made it clear that the new deal will be put forward soon and talks have been held with Dorgu’s entourage, with his current deal running out in the summer of 2027.
The teenager recently scored on his Denmark debut, showing his worth and this is going to be a huge season for him.
