Lazio have received a fine and have been informed that supporters will be prohibited from attending their next European away match after UEFA found evidence of racist and/or discriminatory chanting during the 2-1 win against Viktoria Plzen last Thursday.
UEFA have hit Lazio with a €30,000 fine and Biancocelesti supporters will not be allowed to attend the club’s next European away match as a consequence of the discriminatory actions in Czechia last week.
The second leg of the Europa League round of 16 tie against Viktoria Plzen is still going ahead as originally planned on Thursday evening, but supporters will not be allowed to attend the away leg of the upcoming quarter-final should Lazio qualify.
If the team does not qualify for the quarter-finals, then the away ban will be served at the beginning of next season, assuming that they are involved in European competition.

Marco Baroni’s side currently have a 2-1 advantage heading into the second leg against Viktoria. The winner of that tie will go on to face either Olympiacos or Bodo/Glimt in the next round.
Lazio have also been fined an additional €3,250 for supporters’ use of flares and smoke bombs away against Viktoria last week.
