Lazio have released an official statement after report circulated earlier today that there could be managerial upheaval at the club.

Manager Maurizio Sarri was reportedly feeling “uneasy” after learning about the financial limitations faced by Roma’s rivals—which could complicate the club’s summer transfer plans. However, the Biancocelesti responded swiftly with an official statement to clarify the situation.

“This morning, President Claudio Lotito and coach Maurizio Sarri had a long and in-depth telephone conversation” Lazio wrote on their website.

“Various points were addressed including a lengthy discussion regarding the regulatory situation related to the liquidity index. During the conversation, the President, for the first time, illustrated in detail the technical complexity of the legislation and its implications.”

Adding, “Mr. Sarri, having formally acknowledged the situation in its entirety, confirmed his full availability to continue with determination the commitment made towards the Club and the fans.”
