Lazio have released their official Serie A squad list for the 2024/25 campaign, with Elseid Hysaj being the notable exclusion.

The Biancocelesti unveiled the 21-man list for players above the age of 22. It contains only two goalkeepers, Ivan Provedel and his understudy Christos Mandas. On the other hand, third-choice custodian Alessio Furlanetto is on the Under-22 list.

The backline features eight players, practically two for every playing position. New signing Samuel Gigot is one of four centre-backs on the list. The others are Alessio Romagnoli, Mario Gila and Patric. The experienced Manuel Lazzari and Adam Marusic are the main choices for the right-back slot, while Luca Pellegrini and Nuno Tavares will be vying for a spot on the left side.

Moreover, the list includes five midfielders in Gaetano Castrovilli, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Matteo Guendouzi, Nicolo Rovella and Matias Vecino. The options for the wing roles are Pedro, Gustav Isaksen and club captain Mattia Zaccagni, while Loum Tchaouna was registered on the U22 list. Finally, Taty Castellanos, Boulaye Dia and Tijjani Noslin will make up the strike force.

Lazio Exclude Three Players

On the contrary, Elseid Hysaj has been left out of the squad. The Albanian’s future remains shrouded in mystery. He could still end up leaving the club as long as the transfer market remains open in some countries, like Turkey and Greece. The same goes for midfield outcasts Toma Basic and Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro.
