Liverpool edged closer to clinching the Premier League crown with a win over West Ham United at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
The result means that if Arsenal suffer a defeat at Ipswich next weekend, the Reds could secure the title by overcoming Leicester.
Mohamed Salah, who agreed a fresh two-year deal with the Merseysiders this week, set up Luis Diaz with a brilliant ball to break the deadlock in the 18th minute.
Despite the strong start, Liverpool couldn't maintain their momentum, and West Ham got a well-earned equaliser when Andy Robertson accidentally diverted the ball into his own goal late on.
The game seemed destined to end in an underwhelming draw, but Liverpool's season has often seen them deliver at important moments and Reds skipper Virgil van Dijk did just that in the 89th minute. The Dutch colossus leapt above the visitors' defence to nod in a corner to push Liverpool 13 points ahead of second-placed Arsenal with only six matches remaining.
