Some altogether heartbreaking news has on Thursday been announced by Spanish outfit Las Palmas.
This comes amid confirmation that reserve team star Zebensui Ramos has tragically passed away, owing to injuries suffered in an accident earlier this month.
Zebensui, better known as Zeben, was a 23-year-old defender, who spent this past season plying his trade with Las Palmas C, but also managed his debut for Las Palmas Atlético.
In a shock statement two weeks ago, Los Amarillos announced that Zeben had been hospitalised, after being struck by a car in the municipality of Arucas.
His condition was described at the time as critical.
And as alluded to above, on June 26th, sadly, the player’s passing has been confirmed.
In a fresh release across the club’s website and social media platforms, Las Palmas announced:
‘UD Las Palmas deeply regrets to announce the death of Zebensui Ramos González, known as Zeben, a Las Palmas C player, at the age of 23, after failing to recover from the serious injuries sustained in a tragic accident that occurred on June 9 in the Gran Canarian municipality of Arucas.
‘From UD Las Palmas we would like to extend our sincerest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and everyone who shared the path with him throughout his sporting career. The entire Yellows family joins in mourning the loss of Zeben.
‘Always at the heart of UD Las Palmas.’
