The latest episode of Inside Barça 24/25, the behind-the-scenes documentary series by Barça One, has offered fans a rare and inspiring insight into the mindset of Lamine Yamal, the 17-year-old sensation who has taken world football by storm.
Already being hailed as the new face of the club, Yamal’s rise mirrors the admiration once reserved for Lionel Messi. Yet, the teenager is not resting on the praise. Instead, he’s focused on constant growth, both physically and mentally.
“Every year I will improve in experience and in my game,” Yamal confidently said during the third and final episode.
He spoke openly about how his young age means his body is still evolving, and that each season will bring more comfort on the pitch and a stronger presence against older rivals.
“Right now it’s not very noticeable, but every year it will be bigger. I’ll feel more comfortable on the pitch and with my teammates,” he added, showing a maturity well beyond his years.
For Yamal, the turning point of the 2024/25 season came with Barça’s Spanish Super Cup win, a triumph that gave the team a huge dose of belief.
He also reflected on one of the most intense matches of the year: the Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid.

“Nobody expected Madrid’s second goal, so we had to concentrate and play together. The mentality of the team has changed a lot, and this year it is very good. When Ferran scored, we knew we would win the game,” he recalled.
Despite often looking calm under pressure, Lamine admitted that the Copa final was a rare moment when nerves crept in.
“It was my first final with the fans. One of the most beautiful environments I’ve ever been in. I enjoyed it, but it was also the first time I really suffered — it was win or lose,” said the young winger.
Lamine also had high praise for his attacking partners, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski. “It’s very easy when you play with world-class players like Raphinha and Robert.
“Every ball that comes to them is a goal. It’s incredible to have them in the team,” he said.
At just 17, Yamal already speaks like a leader, and Inside Barça 24/25 has captured that spirit perfectly.
With the Ballon d’Or buzz growing and his performances improving with every match, the future of Barça looks bright in the hands of this young prodigy.
