As the winter transfer market begins, the Spanish media have begun discussing Real Madrid’s possible operations in detail.
Los Blancos are largely content with the squad available and will likely only look for a defensive recruitment should it come at the right price.
On the departures front, however, Mundo Deportivo bring to light the name of a young Real Madrid Castilla star who could be on his way out in the coming days.
As relayed by the Spanish outlet, Espanyol are in dire need of defensive recruitment to help save them from relegation after their horrific start to the season.
Manolo Gonzalez and Co. thus have their eyes on a Real Madrid Castilla star as a possible signing – Pablo Ramon.
The Catalan side are currently in a difficult financial spot and can thus not make any permanent transfer given their wage bill. Ramon’s potential move this month, thus, would be on loan until the end of the season.
It is not the first time that Ramon has been linked to Espanyol for Real Madrid were in contact with the club even in the summer over the youngster’s potential move.
The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at Mirandes but eventually did not move in the summer having sustained a cruciate ligament injury in his right knee.
Now close to his return, his transfer has again become a topic of discussion and Real Madrid can hope to make solid progress in the coming days.
In 2023-24, Ramon made 35 appearances in the Segunda division and racked up nine clean sheets in that process. Further, he averaged over ten defensive actions per game.
