Hansi Flick’s Barcelona have this week been lavished in fresh praise.

This comes fresh off Barca, on Wednesday, keeping alive what has been a flawless start to the new La Liga campaign.

The Blaugrana marked their return to action last night, welcoming Getafe to Catalunya’s capital with sights on a 7th successive league victory.

And, when all was said and done, this is precisely what the evening’s hosts managed.

A solitary goal, netted by Robert Lewandowski inside the 20-minute mark, proved all that separated the two sides upon the full-time whistle bringing proceedings to a close.

And though his troops for the most part held their own at Montjuïc, Getafe assistant manager Patri Moreno is of the opinion that the Azulones may well have faced the best team in Europe on Wednesday.

Speaking to the media post-match, Moreno, standing in for the suspended José Bordalás, lavished praise on Barcelona:

“If Barcelona are not the best team in Europe, they’re one of the best. They can create danger from any space. Their best attribute is their intensity, both with and without the ball.”
